The creation and singing of a summer theme song has become quite a tradition at Camp Friedenswald over the years. Some years an all-original song is written by summer staff that helps to connect with that year’s theme; other years we adopt an already-written song to serve as our theme song. This year, summer staff Ana Neufeld Weaver and Hannah Lehman, drew on a well-known and well-loved song (All God’s Critters/Creatures), and adapted the verses to reflect the critters present at Camp Friedenswald.

With it’s catchy tune, it’s quickly become a summer favorite for campers of all ages, and has helped draw in our theme of “Animal Kin-dom”. The song cards, which are used to guide campers in signing around the campfire and at Quest, are a piece of art, too! See the gallery below for the lyrics – and sing along!
